SJE Carpentry and Joinery Ltd are a specialist supply and fit joinery subcontractor offering the complete carpentry solution to our clients. We currently have a turnover in the region of £4 to £5 million per year and operate in the South East and Central London area, reaching out to Kent, Surrey, Oxfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and Suffolk.
We are still growing steadily each year despite the global recession and continue to take extreme pride in providing the personal touch from Director level down as the numerous testaments from our satisfied customers show. This is mainly due to repeat business with our client base of market leading construction companies for whom we continue to successfully complete supply and fit projects from £50,000 to £3.5 million and upwards.
The company was founded in 1995 by Jim Sanders and Steve Crease, who have over 50 years experience in the carpentry business between them. SJE have established themselves as a preferred subcontractor for many of the household names in the industry having passed stringent pre-qualification processes. We provide the full carpentry and joinery package, including 1st and 2nd fix fit out, fast track refurbishment works and high quality bespoke interiors. Our previous projects have included 5 star hotels, hospitals, schools, universities, theatres, leisure centres and swimming pools, residential areas, government (MOD) offices and numerous commercial developments.
Fire Accredited Door Set Installation
SJE are approved door set installers for all of the countries leading door set manufacturers including Laidlaw Solutions, Leaderflush & Shapland, Graefe’s, TDSL and Shadbolts. We are registered by the FIRAS Accredited Fire Rated Door Installer’s Scheme.
Window Installation
Fully trained and approved Velfac window installers including a full supply and fit service.
Kawneer UK Windows and Curtain Walling Systems
We have recently achieved Kawneer Approved Installer status and are currently working on the Newham Schools BSF fitting the Kawneer system.
Timber Roofing and External Cladding
Including hand cut and trussed roofing, Glulam beams, curved and radius bespoke roofs, dormers, fascias and soffits and Velux roof lights. We also supply and fit all types of external timber cladding systems such as Larch, Cedar, and Douglas fir.
Timber Flooring
We are recommended suppliers and installers of Danskins and Profloor acoustic subfloor systems. Also all hardwood and laminate flooring, gym and dance floors including Junckers systems.
Joinery
We specialise in the supply and installation of bespoke reception areas, concierge desks, credenzas, Café bar and servery areas including tea points and kitchens. As well as AV and veneered panelled walls, feature glass walls and Gustaff Ribba systems SJE can provide high quality spray finished fire rated panelled wall systems and page lacquer high specification panelling.
General Carpentry
SJE have a wealth of experience in the supply and installation of all first and second fix carpentry works, ironmongery, fixtures and fittings and bathroom fit out.
Toilet Duct and Cubicle Systems
We supply and fit all bathroom duct systems including Amwell Laminates, Armitage Shanks, IPS and TBS Fabrications.
In-house After Sales Service
We provide a full after sales service covering all our carpentry works including a specialist locksmith service.
Solid surface products
Bespoke manufacturers of solid surface Corian, LG and Staron worktops, vanity tops, reception desks and display panelling including inlaid lettering and logos.
FFE
We supply and install all types of Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment for schools, hospitals, hotels and the like and have the freedom to go to all of the main suppliers to achieve the best value for money that will suit any budget.
Partitioning and Ceiling Systems
We can now offer the full interiors package including ceilings, partitions including glass and all associated finishes, with our partners Clive Graham Associates (CGA). CGA are approved installers for SAS, Hunter Douglas, Komfort and Avanti systems. CGA are an AIS accredited firm.
This gives our clients the benefit of a fully co-ordinated solution of the key internal Architectural packages without issues of sequencing, buildability and programme.
