Description
As featured in the RIBA 2009 Commercial Awards. Monsoon was a fast and complex fit-out contract for a demanding client with image and finish being paramount. Due to many client changes the contract presented us with a challenge to complete 80% of our package in the last 3 months of the contract. Through a combination of hands on management and excellent working relationships with the client, architects and site team, we managed to get it handed over on time, within budget and to a very high standard of finish.

“Due to the very tight programme and budget constraints we had to work extremely hard to deliver the client and architects wishes. We were hands on from the start and offered more readily available materials and practical on site solutions which still produced the high level of finish required. In the end the close working relationship between ourselves and LOR proved to be the key.”

S.Crease, SJE Operations Director

“SJE carried out the design, manufacture and installation for the head office for Monsoon Accessorize known as the Yellow Building. SJE made a complicated and changing architectural design develop into a workable solution with their can do attitude and willingness to work with the designers to achieve the design effect required. This was built on during manufacture and installation due to the quality of their work, especially the Reception and Cafe areas which has given the building part of it's unique appeal.”
