£12 million extension and refurbishment of Upton Cross, Portway & Calverton Schools. Portway has a 2 storey extension with 10 classrooms and a new learning resource centre. Upton is substantially expanded to a 5 form entry school. Calverton has a new single-storey extension with 8 classrooms.

SJE Works
SJE have just handed over the Portway, Calverton & Upton Cross schools in time for the new term. Works included Safe hinge Enduracor 60 door sets and ironmongery, 2nd fix carpentry and FFE. Also the bespoke kitchen areas with laminate units and Trespa work tops as well as refurbishing the existing door sets and ironmongery. At Upton Cross we also carried out the Velfac Windows install and flashings using MEWPS . Timbertech Edeck composite decking to the balconies & Marley Eternit Board soffits as well as hardwood external timber windows, including all glazing, ironmongery and sealant pointing. SJE also designed, supplied and installed the purpose made bespoke timber reception desk in American oak and Polyrey textured laminate with benching units to the classrooms and internal glazed timber screens.
