SJE are Hiring – Accounts Assistant

SJE are hiring! 

SJ Eastern Carpentry and Joinery are looking for a part time Accounts Assistant to join our team. We are a fast-paced carpentry and joinery business located in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire with the majority of our construction sites based in Central London.

Key Duties

  • Follow the processes our company implements for purchase orders, delivery notes and purchase invoices using Eque2 Construct and Sage Line 50.
  • Diligent checking of suppliers’ statements within a specified timeframe to ensure accurate monthly supplier payments are made.
  • Interaction with site managers to ensure documentation is received to follow the format of our company’s accounting procedures.
  • Interaction with the surveyors should queries arise with purchase orders/deliveries and purchase invoices.
  • Scanning of all official documents to Eque2 Construct.
  • Multitasks and organises work duties to ensure timely delivery of accounts data for the Finance Manager each month.
  • Reviews priorities on a weekly basis with the Finance Manager.

Qualifications Required

  • AAT Level 2 or equivalent bookkeeping course.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • A very good knowledge of Sage Line 50.
  • A basis knowledge of Eque2 Construct an advantage.
  • Minimum 1 year in an accounts/administrative position.
