SJ Eastern Carpentry and Joinery are looking for a part time Accounts Assistant to join our team. We are a fast-paced carpentry and joinery business located in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire with the majority of our construction sites based in Central London.
- Follow the processes our company implements for purchase orders, delivery notes and purchase invoices using Eque2 Construct and Sage Line 50.
- Diligent checking of suppliers’ statements within a specified timeframe to ensure accurate monthly supplier payments are made.
- Interaction with site managers to ensure documentation is received to follow the format of our company’s accounting procedures.
- Interaction with the surveyors should queries arise with purchase orders/deliveries and purchase invoices.
- Scanning of all official documents to Eque2 Construct.
- Multitasks and organises work duties to ensure timely delivery of accounts data for the Finance Manager each month.
- Reviews priorities on a weekly basis with the Finance Manager.
- AAT Level 2 or equivalent bookkeeping course.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- A very good knowledge of Sage Line 50.
- A basis knowledge of Eque2 Construct an advantage.
- Minimum 1 year in an accounts/administrative position.
