Key Duties

  • Attend and input into both internal and external project launch meetings
  • Ensure the issue of all required documentation is provided to the Main Contractor prior to commencement on site
  • Overall responsibility for the mobilisation of all plant and labour required for the works required on site
  • Overall responsibility of the SJE site team including Managers, Labourers and Fire stoppers
  • Overall management and responsibility for the design process both Pre-construction and on site
  • Overall responsibility for the Health & Safety standards on site
  • Overall responsibility for the Quality standards on site
  • Overall responsibility for the Environmental standards on site
  • Ability to recruit and manage firestopping operatives
  • Track and submit weekly labour costs
  • Track and record variations & to be able to produce quotations for variations
  • Overseeing the accident reporting procedures in conjunction with the Health & Safety Manager
  • Overall Responsibility for QITP’s, snagging/contract defects including hand over and Main Contractor sign off
  • Carry out site Demobilisation
  • Obtain Main Contractor feedback and attend internal project debriefs
  • Support a decent football team essential

Qualifications Required

  • CSCS card (blue minimum)
  • SMSTS Certification
  • NVQ level 3
  • Clean driving license

Experience Required

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience within the fireproofing industry, with a strong understanding of passive fire protection
  • To be able to survey and offer rectification solutions
  • Be able to provide quotations and produce estimates
  • Knowledge of intumescent paints useful but not essential
